Exactly. I did a 10k last weekend and got top 5 m35 with a disappointing-for-me performance. And there's no shortage of men in their 30s running 10ks.

Haven't done a parkrun in so long. Forgot how hard it is to push without stopping. Legs felt fatigued, so faded after first mile, but set a marker.

Lovely sunny long run. Very unsuccessful start to the year in terms volume, but in a good place to make the next three months more successful.

Long runs are hard.
Had a lovely walk around Bradgate with uni friends, then a pub lunch.
However, that meant I had the dreaded afternoon long run, which is so hard to motivate oneself for. The sunshine made it lovely once I'd dragged myself out, at least.

Lovely long run today. Man, does it being sunny make a difference. Lots of saying 'morning' to people on the path. By people, I mean their dogs.

Had the temerity to attempt this purple (most difficult routes in the centre) and was justly punished. This was the 'easy' start as well. 😱
