I want to try and make 6+ spells per witch tradition to make them all feel unique, but I'm not sure how much work that'll end up being.

Holy "magic" is available to all. I'm not 100% sure on it yet, but currently you place restricts on yourself to get powers & breaking restrict = punishment(>:3)

I'm taking heavy inspiration from the gamey feel of the town in Oubliette 0. The witch stays in the library, reads old-world, and can turn rune-scraps into spells; The priest heals and can speak (limited) with other Priests of the Maiden you find; The alchemist wants for reagents and lab equip; etc.

Now the carnivorous darkness idea has been growing since I ran into the Grue from Zork, and has had quite a few forms. I commonly use it as my unknowable/100% hostile enemy alongside mindless undead, but give it an alien intelligence that attempts to mimic the living like a "shadow" humanity

I think coming across stuff like Ned the Knight is what has brought me back to this idea this time. Little guys vs horrific monsters/challenges has always been one of my favorite flavors of media, and there's just not enough of it.

Current it's using Cairn as a base but changing up a bit.

Witches use GLOG Magic Dice and Spells. After reading through BDP 2e I found myself wanting actual spells to pick from/limit mages a bit.

Knights are mostly Mythic Bastionland PCs that get a 'deed die' than can only be used for maneuvers

The Beetle Cult roams the geothermal caves beneath the savage cold above. There are stories about them kidnapping lone travelers, or attacking people near certain caves, but no one seems to have seen these acts themselves.

The spikes are said to help catch signals from their deity.

Today we look at Camp Blackfur at the furthest point south in the area and the furthest North that could be considered (barely, and only by some) a part of the Empire.

The camp functions as the last outpost for anyone going North. Silver & rumors have built it up, but the weather keeps it small.

I always picture a whiny southern drawl. I think I just knew too many hillbilly twinks.

The next hex is Sannil, the Town of Hidden Fields

This Hexflower frozen wilderness, so a town at the most North point is pretty abnormal.

The town survives on the presence of heated springs and a strange stone that functions as an artificial sun.

They don't let people in and most don't leave

I think they'd be a lot happier if they didn't limit themselves to only 2 different fursona choices.
