I also learned that the already incredibly profitable pharmaceutical companies actually get tax breaks for all those annoying drug commercials they make. That means we the taxpayers are SUBSIDIZING big pharmaceutical company drug slop. I support closing this loophole.

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

Pete Ricketts has NEVER meaningfully challenged the stranglehold Tyson and the rest of the the Big 4 Meatpackers have in Nebraska.

Why?

Because they pay him to do their bidding.

When you're a billionaire like Pete Ricketts, you don't know the value of a dollar. That's why he votes to waste billions on contracts for his friends while cutting funding for rural hospitals and programs working people depend on. I know what a dollar is worth, and I won't waste yours.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office.
2) Elected officials rewrite the rules in the donors' favor.
3) Donors make a huge profit.
4) Repeat.

For the sake of democracy, we must get Big Money out of politics.
