Finished Wario World!

Fun, though I feel like it got a bit tedious at times. The later levels felt way better than the first few, but the tradeoff there is some real obnoxious bonus rooms.

Still, glad I finally played it. Maybe I'll do a non-100% run in the future.

Y'know, with New Horizons bringing back retro games in the new update, they have the potential to get a bit meta with the Gamecube game choice...

They won't, but it'd be funny.

(Realistically, I assume GCN won't actually have a game in there, unless it's tied to the Switch 2 upgrade)

Two more comic pickups!

Two volumes left of IDW before I'm caught up to the trades.

Wario World has impeccable comedic timing.

Very rare for me to notice the vids on these Nintendo 365 updates, but I got a good laugh out of seeing Wii Fit Trainer in the Photo Dojo footage.

I'm always asking this

Gamecube is an era where I missed a lot of games, but the ones I DID play stuck with me.

I only played AC for like a year before Wild World came out, but to this day it's probably still my fave in the series. ACNH comes close (post-updates) with all the creativity options, but GCN is a VIBE, dude.

This panel, lmaooo

The audacity of this reference in the Amy book though, lmao

Spent tonight reading through the various characters' 30th Anniversary specials from IDW.

The Tails and Amy ones were cute, fun little stories. But man, the Knuckles one was so good! Full of great panels, and seeing Trip again was a real treat. Superstars was okay, but I hope she sticks around!

Hm... looking at Steam, my interest has dropped substantially. Lotta focus on guns/cars in those initial screens.

Also one of the movie posters in the background is a little, uh... hm. I don't wanna make accusations about how it was made without a closer look, but the rendering style......

As an aside, I really like how Classic Sonic is written in this Fang book. He's impatient and gets annoyed. He's less cool and collected, which helps to sell that the classic era is just when everyone was younger and less experienced.

I wish the newer Classic-style games would embrace that...

Reading the IDW Fang the Hunter book. One of the best parts is all of these covers by Aaron Hammerstrom, super reminiscent of the Sonic OVA.

Trying to grind out the last few missions in Mario Run for some Platinum coins, and 2 of them are just "add friends", so...

Hey, if you have this old ass mobile game, add me!

I've said this before, but it's worth repeating.

I love that Gunn's DC actually promotes the damn comics the shows/movies are based on, not to mention them getting actual DC Comic artists for the Man of Tomorrow announcement.

Never played Wario World before.

It's fun!

Updated the #NSO Classics Chart AGAIN, with today's new game:
#324: Wario World (GCN)

Had to redo the numbering, so obviously those two N64 games are 325 & 326 now, respectively.

I had a feeling there'd be at least one more update this month. Didn't expect it to be so, uh... immediate.

New GCN update fixed that one sound in Wind Waker that was oddly high pitched.

I wanna say the inputs feel more responsive too, but maybe I've just gotten used to it, idk.

This also brings the total number of N64 games on the service to 42. That's double what both prior Virtual Consoles offered.

Both Wii and Wii U had 21 N64 games, with most games offered overlapping between the two. There was a combined total of 25 games across both.

Updated the #NSO Classics Chart with next week's additions:
#324: Rayman 2: The Great Escape (N64)
#325: Tonic Trouble (N64)

These two are the first Ubisoft-published games on the service. And while Ubisoft had published VC games on past systems, neither game was on a previous Virtual Console.

Vol 17 done!

The highlight is, of course, the big 900th Adventure special. What a fun story, and the number of artists they got for that one was wild!

Of all the songs to support extended playback.........

I've bitched about the lobbies in CrossWorlds, but loading up MK reminded me of why those annoy me so much.

There's just so much freaking waiting in CW, while between races in MK, I can goof around in free roam, look for hidden medals and panels, take photos, unlock costumes, etc.

Bro, I gotta play this more often. I was definitely letting the discourse get to me.
