I would've never dictated how others should feel or how they belong but I didn't give myself the same grace and thinking "you are enough".

I forgot to say, I was suffering from huge case of imposter syndrome before I found my micro labels, and had the feeling that I wasn't "queer enough" to belong to the community which is bs, of course. But this was a huge part of it.

"do what feels right" is definitely a sentiment that I share, while being grateful for the many existing labels that are available, should you need one. They can be freeing, like in my case. But it's important to know that they're neither obligatory nor non-refundable, and aren't the be-all end-all.

It can certainly feel like sticking yourself in a box (or be put there by others). I hope people understand that using a certain label now doesn't mean you can't let go of it later when you learn something different/new about yourself, and that you then (if you so wish) can choose another one.

But I also agree with what you are saying about how labels can be restricting, not only on an internal level but especially when other people come into the mix and say that you can't be x while doing y.

I actually broke down crying because I finally felt like I am okay the way I am and that there's a word (or words) for how I feel, and other people who share my experience. The micro labels actually broadened my understanding about what asexuality and aromanticism can encompass,

Personally, I am so grateful for micro labels. I was struggling with my sexuality and romantic orientation until I found the micro labels existing under the aro-ace umbrella. Only when I found those, everything clicked into place for me, and how I felt.

I love reading in English, but it's not my native language, so it can be frustrating. When someone is "talking in an accent" in a book, I sometimes have no idea what they are saying, depending on how excessive it is, and looking it up is almost impossible.
