Had to upgrade my HDD backup system to to USB C ($$$). Also had to find a dongle to connect my old Thunderbolt 2 peripherals, and a OWC dock that could connect my old mini DVI Apple Cinema Display . It does simplify a LOT of compatibility issues.

Amazing how fast Macs got when they created the PowerPCs and the G series. I got nearly 10 years out my dual G4 (333mhz). It ran System 9 (Rosetta) and OS X. It quit only because the the hard drive died (pre ssd replacement).

Using a combination of Timemachine w/dual backups of my working computer.
My Archive has separate quadruple backups.
Streaming files have dual backups, and burned to optical media when space is low. #veryfiddly #multidrive

M4 is really nice. I could only budget a M3 MBP (last years top laptop but it has 40 cores blah, blah, blah). Still trying to find compatible cables to connect to all my legacy peripherals.
So far I’m finding Anker has a decent selection and quality.
