"While the exposition rambles a bit at times the overall narrative is extremely well done; the plot is superbly crafted, the characters have depth & are quite intriguing, the action is phenomenal, & the ending, though absolutely heart-wrenching, is brilliantly handled!"

"While I enjoyed some more than others (due to my personal connection to the subject matter, 'Midnight Promises' still hits hard) there's not a bad one in the bunch, & there should be a little something for everyone's tastes. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable read!"

"There is a whole lot going on with a bunch of characters in different places & it may be a bit challenging to keep track of who's who initially, but they're so well-developed & memorable that once everything comes to a head they feel as close as friends or family."

"This was the beginning/near the beginning of the development of Brian's overarching mythos, & the supernatural premise (aside from the aforementioned 28 DAYS LATER) is actually a more believable explanation than many of the other zombie stories."
