..you can see from altimeter data that they're still 1000ft apart vertically, which AIUI is the safe minimum. (Doesn't seem much for a 260ft bird doing 300mph, but apparently it's OK).
What I didn't spot is that one is a lot bit bigger than the other (A380 vs A350). Hence the illusion of closeness.

That's a reasonable use of land on, say, a windswept peninsula north of Edinburgh.
Rather less so in Wimbledon, Dulwich, Richmond etc.
The absolute state of this corner of SW London... added up they're getting on for the size of Richmond Park.

Day 3 - a bit of ad-hoc routing. The Boy had mentioned a Sustrans route running north from Norwich that he'd done with a schoolfriend a while back.
Sounded good, and only fifteen or so miles away via country lanes.
Komoot did us proud. Bit of climbing out of Sheringham but easy going after that.

So we thought we'd take a different route out of Wells and follow the clearly way-marked NCN1 running due south.
It's easy to follow, but the surfaces deteriorate fast. The others had mountain/hybrid bikes, and I'm not precious about putting my road bike through rough stuff, but still. Heavy going.
