Good questions @grahamkendall.bsky.social! I don’t know what the issue is for 2️⃣ but for 1️⃣ when it comes to the issue of #predatoryjournals then the whole MO of perpetrators is anonymity and deception, so in order to counter them I think transparency is essential

... According to Publish or Perish (which uses Google Scholar data), even without parsing out a journal with the same name plus 'International' in the title there are only 98 papers with 681 citations and a H-Index of 13. Also the journal itself has been given a DOI which is, erm, very odd.
