I think you know this, but: on post-Election Friday in 2020, a deputy city commissioner decided to let Lewandowski come into the counting room even though prohibited by law. I was the only Dem observing him—I sent everyone else away to calm things down. Crazy tense.

Here’s my new & expanded summary of the GOP’s so-called “Save America Act.” I expanded it to add more info re the Act’s proposed voter purge program, which seems to have been inspired by whatever “DOGE” did to DHS & SSA databases. Pls tell ur Senators to vote NO on this horror: 202-224-3121. TY. 1/

Attorney General Pam Bondi, in a congressional hearing room with some of Jeffrey Epstein's survivors seated behind her, showed justice doesn't matter.

Trump claimed the power to unleash a tariff war by declaring a “national emergency.” This is clearly a false predicate.

The tariff power lies with Congress per the Constitution. Trump’s invocation of an “emergency” in order to punish countries whose leaders don’t grovel is utterly ridiculous.
Trump: "So I put on a 30% tariff, which is very low. I got an emergency call from I believe the prime minister of Switzerland. She was very aggressive ... I didn't really like the way she talked to us, so instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39%."

On every important vote that matters, Susan Collins votes with Trump.

Every time her vote could stop something he’s trying to do, she votes with him.

She is a fake moderate with a MAGA voting record.

A vote for Susan Collins is a vote to give Trump more power.

When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

It’s an odd phenomenon where the long established red line—criminal abuse and rape of young people—has broken down, in part because of decades of elite corruption and in part because it implicates their demagogic leader. But popular revulsion won’t go away, so they’re trying to jury-rig a new line.
“.. one person close to the White House predicted that it might be the straw that sends Lutnick ‘for the exits,’ arguing that being on the island is ‘sort of the red line.’”
