I'm almost two months late commenting, but I'd be super interested to know what was in the prequel novel! Even just a summary would be nice! That said, I don't want to pressure you if your interests lie elsewhere at this point.

Most likely, yeah. I assume they didn't want to slow the story beats down by having scenes actually showing Shion helping to rebuild her. Incidentally, is this your first playthrough of XSIII? I love seeing people's reactions as they go through it the first time, so I'll be sure to follow if so!

Couldn't fit this in the original message, sorry, but yes, this DOES mean that KOS-MOS Ver. 4 is a Super Robot! 😄

IIRC it's confirmed later that Shion did actually help rebuild everybody's favorite android. The only reason The Professor and Scott are helping at all is that they had to use the parts they had on hand (i.e. Erde Kaiser Parts) for lack of resources, and The Professor is the expert in that field.

I've thought about selling my copies of XS I-III, but then I always worry "ISO ROM sites don't stay up forever; what if I lose the copies I ripped from the discs?" and discard the thought. Nice of you to make this thread, though! I'm sure many people will appreciate it!

That's really strange. I've never had that issue when emulating Ep. I, and I know it works just fine with PCSX2, since I even have clear data saved. What emulator are you using?
