I think Sue didn’t really much like being in a band. So it goes. But there’s a lot to be said for one and done - it’s a perfect album and there’s a wonderful live album as well if you feel so inclined.

I see what you mean, but it felt to me like a way of playing with the seductive nature of conspiracy theories, how earnestly and misguidedly people can fall from them and just maybe sometimes every one does. And it made me laugh.

I thought it was perfect. A magnificent lead (I rewatched Toni Erdmann after and remembered she was superb in that too), but is there a better performance by a child in a film this century? I’ve really struggled to think of one.

Interesting that you put it that way - I don’t think it had even crossed my mind to move beyond how late do I allow myself to be and still think I am on time (also 15 mins) to think about… anyone else at all.

Yes, you’re right. A whole new character flaw I had never considered. Great.

I put it down to chronic optimism. If everything goes perfectly, I will make it at exactly the right time. At the age of 47, I should probably know better.

What’s your personal grace period for being “on time”?
