i've heard it used for any distinct 'other colour' marking on an otherwise single coloured character, chest and face being the most common :> [this may also be regional, like fringe and bangs]

it's usually referred to as a 'blaze' marking from what i recall

if its music, i'll usually default to playing the playlist geared for the particular character i'm drawing if possible!
