Working at different sizes is a difficult thing in pixel art.
Lyan is so tiny that I can't really illustrate the sandals that she wears- on the other hand, an ancient red dragon is so large that space NEEDS to be filled with detail.

Shrinking down a sprite is an interesting exercise. And that final sprite at the bottom left ends up being a big guy, who is still a bit shorter than Strella. Good.

Typically, it's just wealthy bandit leaders who can do so.
Groups will even recruit Mage College dropouts, or sorcerers driven from their homes. #PixelArt #SigilArt
