if there is one thing i am sure of it’s the fëanorian propensity for making titles and honorifics derogatory. i just know that fëanáro somehow injected an ability to say the words “my lord” in such a way that it sounds like a slur into that bloodline

Crime and punishment is addictively easy to read. I think in terms of sheer beauty of the prose, other authors like Hugo do it better. But psychology, hook, plot development? Top notch.
