One thing that gets missed with the #StarCitizen has raised $900m chat is that the funding isn't just going to Star Citizen. It's also funding Squadron 42. That's two games it's split between, so $900m for a 13 year old alpha isn't quite accurate.

PSA for new #StarCitizen players joining for the Free Fly IAE event coming up... Manage your expectations. Servers usually shit the bed for these things. Rent all the things if you feel like buying in, but don't feel like you need to go big. Most stuff is buyable in game.
