The large planter is over Tigger's grave. The flowers 1st bloomed in the summer, & haven't stopped since.

The smaller planter is 1 of the spots I sowed flower seeds. The 1st appeared in early autumn, & again, they've not stopped blooming since.

And that's despite increasingly bad weather.

It is done! As yet unsure which variant feels more like me, just really like them both.

Feels necessary to reiterate: base by Zhivago, I just slapped the colours on.

If I understand correctly, should be OK to make a PFP & banner from these, so that's next.
The refsheet for the feminine version of my fursona, now with the back view completed. Same rust red, darker red & pale cream colour scheme, with a darker patch covering much of the back of the head, thinning down the back of the neck, widening across the shoulder blades, & tapering almost to a point just above the tail, & a narrow pale cream patch on the rear.

Now working on the feminine version. Got the front done.

Adjusting for the differences is an interesting process.
A feminine version of the fursona refsheet in the quoted post, a rust red anthro fox with darker fur below elbows & knees & on the backs of the ears & the top of the tail, pale cream on chest & belly & inner ears & pawpads & the tip of the tail, dark grey nose & claws, blue eyes & glasses. The rear view is still to be filled in.

Got the pink in, a pretty subtle detail, but I really like it that way.

Need to work up a feminine version of this, & let it sit a while, but it's looking more & more like, well...

The fursona refsheet, now with subtle lines of rouge pink running from the base of the neck, down the sides of the chest & belly, between the rust red & the cream, to just level with the navel.

Tail done, & popped some glasses a lot like the ones I frequently wear on the snout.

Starting to have slightly tingly feelings about this. Is that a good sign?

Still need to decide how to work in the pink, though...
The red fox refsheet, now with both sides of the tail detailed, mostly rust red, with a pale cream tip, & a broad sweep of darker along much of the top. Rounded rectangular glasses now rest on the muzzle of the fursona.

The back done. Really liking it, so far. GIMP's Free Select Tool is in serious danger of becoming my new best friend.

Given I've been "in" the fandom for roughly a quarter of a century, & alive for very nearly double that, I probably should grey the muzzle a bit, but eh, can't be bothered. 😜
The fursona sheet from the 1st post, now with the back view of the character coloured in. Same scheme, except for a patch of darker fur covering much of the back of the head, thinning down the neck, widening across the shoulder blades, then steadily tapering again, almost to a point just above the tail, & a sliver of pale cream over the seam of the rear.

Decided, entirely on a whim, to experiment with the idea of a fursona, so got myself a template - by Zhivago - & starting playing. May or may not come to anything concrete, not least as I need to figure out how to work some pink in, but I'm having fun colouring, like the big cub I am, regardless.
A reference sheet for a masculine fox furry, front, rear, top & bottom of tail, & eyes. Only the front is coloured in, russet red darkening below elbows & knees & on the backs of the ears, pale cream on chest & belly & muzzle & pads & inner ears, dark grey on nose & claws, blue eyes.

Lakeside Amusement Park. Can't help feeling we've been here before...

Ol' Robbie, here, is a prime example of what I meant above. Grotesque, but not outright gruesome, leaving plenty to the imagination, & imho, all the more effective for it.

In my restless dreams, I see that town.

Surreal to be back after so long. Gonna take a while to reacclimatise to the tank controls, & yes the HD version has flaws, but that's not gonna stop me savouring an atmosphere like no other, & drawing all the inspiration for Otherland I possibly can.

Tweaked Ally's, replacing the double-S with a swooping decal, & since I was already pretty satisfied with Tara/Rebound's suit, just added more texture & swapped the R for a tidy little rebound-like V decal.

Coming together, I think! Though don't discount more fettling/refining.

Latest Zephyr version. A lot happier with this.

The mix of simple, clean, almost Golden Age graphic design, & more contemporary flow, really works for me.

Old Zephyr versus new Zephyr.

Liking the almost tie-dye effect, not sold on the Z logo. Will let this bubble awhile. Certainly better than the flat running gear look of old.

Think I've nailed it. A symbol works much better than a letter.

The more I research supersuits, the more it sinks in for me how few heroes have letters on theirs, & many don't even have symbols.

A lot more room to play than I'd believed.

Original Silver Streak/Ally versus new Silver Streak/Ally.

This 1 I believe is an improvement all round. The original looks a bit too glitzy Vegas showgirl, the new one is a lot slicker. Resisting the urge to decorate every piece of the outfit helps, I think.

I think the new is a serious improvement in most regards, though I still find myself struggling to create a logo I'm entirely satisfied with.

Decided to finally, properly play with concrete in #Minecraft, & am now wondering why I used it so little before. Really helps a build pop!

I know some will think this an eyesore, but I really like it. Guess I just really needed to build something light & bright after the gloom of the last project.

Just sent this email to my MP, about trans issues in the UK. Decided to reproduce it here for the record.

If anyone wishes to use it as a template or inspiration for their own letter to their own MP, go right ahead.

Telling them how we feel is very important.

Now to wait & see how she responds.
The 1st part of the email. It reads:- To start with, I wish to thank you. Seeing your name on two group letters to date, questioning the new choice of EHRC leader, & pressing for a debate of the new guidelines, was a welcome boost. To see evidence that my MP is an ally, when allies seem so scarce right now, has helped, a lot. I'd like to explain why. Existing under the trans umbrella in the UK has been difficult for a while, now, largely through a combination of media and political pressure. Since the Supreme Court verdict, however, that pressure has ramped up exponentially, to the degree the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention has raised a red flag warning that what's happening to trans+ people in this country fits into the 9th Pattern of Genocide. There is a concerted attempt to legislate us out of existence, and it's, bluntly, terrifying. Some personal perspective. I was already dealing with the stress of trying to work things out with regard to gender identity and sexuality, while also being largely convinced that no matter what conclusions about myself I came to, my family wouldn't accept me. Sadly, this is a far from uncommon situation for anyone on the LGBT+ spectrum. It's also far from uncommon for those on the spectrum to be driven to mindsets bleak enough to start contemplating taking their own lives, a mindset I've come close to on more than one occasion in recent months. Most of my personal exploration is through creative outlets, my writing, as doing so in real life is too scary a thought, especially now. The 2nd part of the email. It reads:- All of this is to say, I can corroborate from personal experience how difficult things have become for trans+ people in this country. We are currently dealing with:- 1) The discriminatory and damaging guidelines the EHRC are persisting in pursuing, in spite of warnings like the above from the Lemkin Institute, warnings from other institutions, including the British Psychological Society, and from a long list of companies. 2) The relentless attacks - there can be no other word - from much of the mainstream media, regardless of purported leaning. From the Telegraph to the Guardian to the BBC, they use any excuse they can to take aim. Witness the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's death, wherein multiple outlets in the US and the UK made increasingly outlandish efforts to pin some or all of the blame on the trans community, and still are. 3) The hate groups, such as Sex Matters and For Women Scotland, who claim to be women's rights groups, but in reality only ever target trans+ people, ignoring actual issues relating to women's rights. The latter brought the case that resulted in the Supreme Court verdict, while the former seem to have considerable access to government officials and departments, in sharp contrast to LGBT+ groups. The 3rd part of the email. It reads:- 4) The high-profile actions of the likes of Graham Linehan and JK Rowling, stirring hatred online to the degree of inciting violence. In Linehan's case, that extends to allegedly committing violence himself. In Rowling's, to funding the For Women Scotland case, the root catalyst for all of the escalation. 5) Less obvious, but still damaging, are those in the public eye, particularly politicians, who try to both sides the situation, try to make a debate out of something that simply isn't. We're just trying to exist, literally nothing more, just be, while those who commonly label themselves with the euphemism "gender critical" are aggressively intent on preventing us existing, to the point of labelling us predators and paedophiles. There is no discussion, there can be no discussion, and pretending otherwise only lends legitimacy to what's little more than irrational, ideological hatred. Unfortunately, the Liberal Democrat leader, Ed Davey, is one of those politicians, which is why, in spite of his welcome efforts to end the Gaza genocide, and there being plenty of good LibDem MPs, I cannot support the party. The 4th & last part of the email. It reads:- For me, and many others, and not just within the trans+ community, or the wider LGBT+ community, transphobia is a red line. If it is tolerated in a party, that party does not get our support. This is one of the reasons Your Party, as in the Corbyn/Sultana party, has been under so much pressure of late. For one thing, transphobia rarely occurs in isolation, there are almost always other prejudices and motivations beyond it. For another, with all that is now going on, we need to be sure. We need to be sure a party, or a politician supports us, and isn't just paying lip service. We can't afford to take any chances, any more. Our lives are quite literally at stake. We've never felt so threatened, and if those guidelines pass, it'll only get worse. So, again, thank you. Thank for for all you've done so far, and all you are wiling and able to do in future. It means more than you probably realise, and I sincerely doubt I'm the only one in your constituency that thinks so.
