This week Comets C/2025 A6 Lemmon and C/2025 R2 SWAN will both be passing their closest to Earth and will probably be at their brightest. Lemmon should be about 5th magnitude, SWAN about 6th. Both are in binocular range in a good sky.

The low waxing Moon passes the head of Scorpius. The best view will actually be in a darker sky than this, near the end of twilight: maybe 75 minutes after sunset. But you'll need a clear horizon in this direction.
