A once Eisner Award-nominated subscription comic site that dives into the story behind comics: SKTCHD.com. Home of Off Panel, a weekly interview podcast: bit.ly/OffPanelPod. User of all the words. Kind of curious. By @davidharper.bsky.social.
That's it!

As noted in other posts, I'm having a Black Friday sale right now for SKTCHD subscriptions, so if any of that intrigues, you can save 50% on any plan through Tuesday, 11/25. So, get on it soon, and thanks for reading!

Many are visiting SKTCHD for that interview with @javierrodriguez.bsky.social, and if you enjoy it, consider subscribing to read more and to support the work that I do. It's fully independent (+ Eisner-nom'd) writing about comics that costs as much as one comic a month!

This is where Tom Brevoort told me that bit. It's great.

Lots of folks are reading my feature interviews with Evan Cagle and Ram V this week. Want to read those in full and the rest of the site's content?

Subscribe to SKTCHD to do just that, and to support the work I do. It's ad-free and costs the same as one comic a month!

Those were so great! Also, one of my favorite discoveries from this was @ashcanpress.com telling me the polybag solution they used for We're Taking Everyone Down with Us #3 has a nod to Chip and Matt (at the very bottom!).

I can see it, but you and I had much different reactions to that card!

Also, I have this framed on my desk. haha

The back of the Celestials card from series three created a fan for life despite not having read a single comic they were in for years afterwards. NOT APPLICABLE? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE???

Gotta give the people what they want.

(Thanks for listening, and for sharing!)

OH BY THE WAY.

This episode also welcomes a new sponsor to the podcast, as @2000ad.bsky.social — the Galaxy's Greatest Comic! — is now (thrill) powering Off Panel. Shouts to the crew over there for the support, and expect to hear me talking them up in the podcast going forward!

It's a weird time to write about anything online, but perhaps especially comics. Wonderfully, SKTCHD continues to grow, so BIG thanks to new and long-time subscribers. For those that haven't checked it out yet, maybe consider subscribing for long-form writing about comics!

It appears to be on there! That's strange. Does it just have #486 as the next one on there?
