Patrick's death was so.. shockingly sudden im not even sure where to begin
i got him the day that my grandad died, both of them were taken away before i got to see their bodies. i hate how unreal everything feels after a death of a being that's been with you for so long
they should live forever

it's been so hard without sage, it feels like im finally starting to grieve him two weeks after everything started. i think peeps death was the end of these miserable fucking two weeks and im left with a hole where love once was. the reality is finally really sinking in that they're both gone

If Patrick eats something today I'll be over the moon.
We're fighting pulmonary edema with him, just trying to get fluid off of his lung tissue before we can even get to the real issue(s?).
(Thankfully, I'm not (originally) awake bc of anxiety but bc Zeke had 3am "i gotta poop" time)

What a week. Patrick is at the vet for respiratory issues,TBD since the medication didn't seem to do much for him overnight. He's been at the clinic 24 hours and I'm hoping to hear a positive update on him soon. Vet is thinking it's asthma or allergies. Hoping it isn't the secret third thing.

Last night, one of my older senior cats passed away. He had been sick for awhile, medicated, and on palliative care. He was incredibly special to me and I might be working and responding a bit slower this next little bit.

Boys at the vet yesterday!
Oak got his hock x-rayed and he has a bone chip on top of his arthritis. He's graduated from soft-retired (very light to no riding) to full retired pasture pet now. He's doing fine otherwise!
Burl was there for his Coggins so I can take him out for my bday <3
