it's so dumb that just smacking LD_PRELOAD="" on my steam game launch options is giving me a 30+ fps boost for each game I try.... what is being loaded??!?!?

I keep getting the urge to play games, but when I actually get to play them, I have NO clue what to actually play. This is especially bad when I want to use my Steam Deck (and actually get some use out of it), which rules out first person shooters.

I feel like they could've spent a lil bit longer optimising Unreal Engine 5. I *know* I don't have great specs, but SURELY it should run at least a BIT better.

Gamescope sucks SO much, I don't think I've managed to ever get it working outside of SteamOS.

I ended up swapping my kernel from xanmod to cachyos and it helped the 1% lows a lot. Basically, this game is a mess and shouldn’t require me to do all of this just to get a playable experience.
I get 20+ FPS on CS2 running under Linux by using this paragraph worth of launch options.
`gamemoderun __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 LD_PRELOAD="" %command% -console -full -novid -nojoy -vulkan -maxMem=7000k +exec autoexec`
Might be useful for some people.
