Just for the record, as a Green, the fact that votes can be split is kinda bullsh*t and a fairer voting system is very clearly needed
To those saying, "but the Greens will split the vote":
1. Things have changed.

If youre unsure about the idea of UBI, try to find dragon a book called Utopia for Realists by Rutger Bregman - it does a great job explaining the benefits, previous successes, and past studies that vindicate the idea

It's really tricky to boycott all of these brands, but it's worth looking around for an alternative to see if it exists

Here's a quick tip when you're coding: justify early exits from functions. If the action is unnecessary then leave a comment, if the parameters don't allow the function to execute then return a console warning. You spot bugs faster & understand the code in the future
