(He/Him)

Whispering into an undetermined number of voids.
Something that still pops up in my head after watching Superman a couple months ago is James Gunn made Clark a breakfast-for-dinner kind of guy, which is wholesome af and fits well with this incarnation of Clark

(Granted I say this as a breakfast-for-dinner kind of person, myself)

Spent the first half of my night running chkdsk on my old desktop because Rescuezilla refuses to back up one of the drives past 94.21%, and spent the second half of my night trying to recover my iPhone because the 26.0.1 update hung up on literally the last pixel of the update bar. Good times.

Anxiously awaiting the Tech Pod episode in a year or two where @bradshoemaker.bsky.social excitedly explains to @willsmith.fun how some guy made an AOL dial-in server and put it on GitHub

(I'm only 1/4 joking; I really want to hear this, I love those episodes)
R.I.P. AOL dial-up internet. 📞🪦

Made it all the way to the office before realizing I forgot to drip my pipes last night and check for leaks this morning 🤦

Worst part is I spent way too much time outside last night fiddling with a faucet cover and never even thought about inside.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster OSTs are on Steam right now (on sale!), and like a sucker I got all of them but really only wanted the orchestral recording of FF6.

I meant to play some Diablo 4 tonight, but instead I wound up doomscrolling here and listening to the finale to FF6.

I will say, if you have any desire to play an emulation handheld away from wifi, don't ever dabble with retroachievements; you'll find yourself second guessing whether you *really* want to play Pokemon Pinball on the off-chance you do something mid-session that would otherwise pop an achievement.
Finished For the Frog the Bell Tolls last night (after playing it off and on for... a *really* long time) and it's a lot of fun and fairly short.

The gameplay is so much different than what I'd expect from Nintendo, even with the limitations of the Game Boy.

One of the old greats of MS-DOS multiplayer gaming, Scorched Earth was a shareware artillery combat game that involved launching an escalating arsenal of lasers, dirt bombs, nukes, missiles, and anything else you could buy at your enemy while random events and weapons fire blew apart the terrain.

1. I was on Stephen Robinson’s podcast when I blurted out a personal truth. I have defended the Democrats for years, but since Donald Trump’s victory, I haven’t been in the mood. In fact, I find myself open to arguments I had not been open to.

Nothing like coming home from thanksgiving weekend to what sounds like at least three smoke alarms doing the low battery chirp.

Took the week off to visit my folks and burn some vacation. Ripley's been very happy to have an afternoon nap with me just about every day.

Regardless of questionably-shaped popcorn buckets, the popcorn served for Dune should be served with Slap Ya Mama on it. Tony Chachere’s at a bare minimum.

Every 6 months to two years I get the idea in my head that ROM databases should be a simple and easy way to catalogue my stuff and won’t drive me absolutely insane and keep me up until 1am, and I am always proven wrong.

Trying to think of a tag for my note program for… I guess reminding me of positive things about me in general.

Like… I just made a note to myself pointing out that fiddling with menu colors in Final Fantasy 4, HTML, and paint programs back in the day make me a lot more knowledgeable about 1/

Either Epic needs to hurry up and have the zombified corpse of Harmonix create a Rock Band game with vocals on PC (Steam Deck compatible), or Microsoft needs to make a portable Xbox so I can play Rock Band karaoke with people at get-togethers.

I feel like I spend more time tinkering with retro games than actually playing them sometimes. Which is okay, because I feel like I learn a little bit every time, and it’s fun to see what new stuff has come out to beef up older games.
