I used to spatchcock or brine a turkey, and produce a fine turkey. Somewhere in the addled academic exhaustion I ceased to be able to. A couple of years ago I set the turkey on fire. Oven ruined, but turkey only a bit scorched in one spot. So I took it to the gas grill outside. And set it on fire.
