Seems to me these students deserve extra credit for their peaceful protest, not detention. If our democracy is saved, it will be because of the efforts of young people like these.
Remember kids, schools will close often and classes interrupted due to our refusal to address climate change and gun violence, manage immigration sanely and humanly, and fund schools adequately.
But if you lose instructional minutes to protest the new police state, we'll rev up the old one!

Decatur High School walkout students receiving detentions
According to letters sent by Decatur High School’s administration on Feb. 2, students who participated in the Jan. 30 student walkout protest against ICE are facing a detention.

At an Ivy Leaugue masters degree graduation ceremony where the most prestigious award went to an MS grad engaged in significant ALS research. She will be pursuing her PhD in Europe. More evidence of the reverse brain drain. Blah, blah America First 🙄
