Day 19 of the Bon Maman Advent calendar was an exceptional cherry with chestnut honey. The cherry was elevated by a complex honey I will now be searching out.

Day 18 of the Bon Maman Advent calendar was a sweet departure from fruit based spreads with a caramel and coffee spread a suckerpunch of flavour a real standout 10/10!!

Day 17 of the Bon Maman Advent calendar was wood strawberry, a fine jam. But like yesterday's one we already have in the fridge. Not quite as sweet as the regular blend, but I have no idea how they wrangle sufficient wild berries for production, so I will just take them at their word 8/10.

Day 16 of the Bon Maman Advent calendar was called fruit des bois but was really just their mixed berry. An excellent jam one I like to use often when I make a blend, tart and complex a solid 8.

Day 15 of the Bon Maman Advent calendar was a doozie cherry with pink peppercorn or baies rose. Prolly the best cherry jam I've ever had, just bonkers. 10/10 fer sure.

Day 13 of the Bon Maman Advent calendar was four fruits, but really, it was a black current with supporting roles provided by cherries red current and strawberry all important but there to lift the cassis into the air like whatshisname from Lion King. I'd buy a tub of that...

Day eleven into my Bon Maman advent calendar was pineapple and yuzu. After finishing this jar off, I grabbed the macerated pineapple in the fridge and went to work making a homage to this amazing spread. Chefs kiss!

Day ten in the Bon Maman Advent calender was raspberry with rose. The rose was undetectable but managed to lift the raspberry beautifully, adding a surprising freshness. Much like nutmeg in a shortbread, you should taste its absence, not its presence.

Day nine of the Bon Maman Advent calender was rhubarb and spices, a warm and friendly hobbit hug of a spread. Hints of cumin and coriander are nestled in a sweet and sharp rhubarb base. Will be thinking of this when the rhubarb takes off again in the spring.

Day eight in the Bon Maman Advent calender was a frigging joy today. Lemon with elderberry flowers will definitely be trying to make this one 10/10.

Day seven Bon Maman jam advent calender was Myrtilles and maple syrup. As far as I can tell, it's bilberry, which is like a blueberry, but tarter. So far, this is my least favorite. The maple was too forward for the delicacy of the blueberry, not bad, but prolly wouldn't get a whole jar.

From an old lino cut I did of a pretty famous rural Quebec road sign. "Attention à nos enfants c'est peut-être le vôtre" pretty much be careful with our kids, it might be your own:)

Day fives Bon Maman Advent calender was purple fig and cinnamon another strong spread the cinnamon was delicate and balanced, my wife said it reminded her of her dad's fig and walnut jam but he uses yensoon which is a Egyptian anise.
