Patto looked decent in the Championship but Sunderland replaced on promotion. Hopefully he’ll get a chance.

Is the gap between the NL & Premier League too great to get the top quality loanees? Of the players we’ve loaned in EFL2 only Abbott looks a potential PL player. I’m uncertain about Hall but suspect he won’t make it.

Is it possible for a Steven Finnan or Jamie Vardy to make the step from the NL now

Nemane & Cameron both established in EFL2.

Kyle signed in our first season in the NL and left the summer before our promotion season. Reuben did well in EFL1 but played less in the Championship - though he did get his move to Brazil.

I’ve never met him but my sense, from people who have, is that you’re being rather generous in limiting your base to people in football.

Was he a gambler returning to the table to try and recoup losses
from a previous business relationship? It’s fairly obvious to those watching on that you’ll never succeed but those previous losses impair judgement.

I always felt he was cornered and willing to sacrifice anything and anyone to save face.

I wasn’t around in person but my recollection, from observing conversations by those who were, was that he was anti-Trust in the early days and gradually inserted himself once those who did the hard work ensuring survival stepped back.

They gave JAH a shovel and allowed him to dig. I thought he came across as someone whose ambition exceeded his ability and totally lacking the skills required to lead a complicated business in a highly competitive sector.

Let’s hope Chelsea come in for a back up.
