Today I’m grateful for my mom. She’s funny, sassy, and definitely a handful. Check her out at the elementary school Dia de Los Muertos celebration, waggling her freshly tattooed new eyebrows! My grandson Elwood gives them two thumbs up.

Today I’m grateful to spend time with this little buddy. He was up at 4:30am with me, and is perfectly content to sofa snuggle until it’s at least light outside. Then we’ll make breakfast!

Day before yesterday I was grateful that it snowed for the first time this year.

Last weekend I was grateful for a stunning sherbet colored sunset.

Last weekend I made extremely tart and totally delicious lemon meringue pie.

Last weekend I was grateful to take my mom to visit my youngest daughter and her daughters. The afternoon started with tequila shots and ended with steak dinners and margaritas.

Today I’m grateful for my sister Michelle. We are new to one another (thanks dna testing!) but it feels like we’ve always been together. This weekend she came to spend the night and met more of my family, and we all marveled at how natural it is. I could travel the world with her. I love her.
Amusingly, we even favor the same slipper. Photo shows two pair of shearling lined brown house slippers under the coffee table in the living room. This is the only “selfie” we got lol.

Today I’m grateful for this cool-ass new-to-me sofa from my ex-boyfriend.

Today I was grateful because my friend reminded me that food prepping is self care.
A small earthen bowl filled with chia seed pistachio milk pudding, roasted pecans, and a sprinkle of hemp hearts. There is a larger container of the pudding that will go back into the fridge.
