So now I'm about 50 pages in. TEETH BEACH will be a nonfiction mix of reporting, history, diary, memoir -- I don't really know what genre it fits in. 4/

As a journalist, it's been difficult to make sense of the rapid changes we're all living through. But in comics, you have two channels juxtaposed: words can reinforce images or contradict them. Sometimes it's easier to express the absurdity and tragedy of authoritarianism through juxtaposition. 3/
