yeah. I don't know why programmers like to make things so hard. I'm just trying to tag and modify some bytes in a binary file. surely there's a better way of doing this??

it is 30 years later and you still cannot, without being EXTREMELY careful, have Linux install alongside Windows without the risk of it smashing the entire disk due to resizing and repartitioning. We have not figured out how to get it to stop doing that
