Actually only about 1/4 of the country voted for that. Unfortunately it was just enough to elect the felon. But without due process we risk deporting American citizens. So yes, we need to do things the legal way. Not this kidnapping BS that ICE is doing now.

Agreed...but the money, expertise, and political machinery is there. It would be cheaper and easier to retake the party than to build a new one from scratch. And a lot of older voters won't switch parties so you would lose voters.

If we take it back...it could be the Democratic party again. We just have to actually pay attention from now on and get involved in primaries.

Start with the change in leadership. Then primary the hell out of anyone not willing to fight for us. Then we can confidently vote blue across the board and not worry about a trump 3.0.

In part yes. When you have someone like Pelosi or McConnell who have been in office for decades their political machines are soooo massive it makes it impossible for anyone to contest them. So they get to stay until they die. And many of them are staying until they die.

So have those really sharp seniors MENTOR future legislators. Have them out stumping for the great ideas. There are tons of ways they can still participate - they just don't need to always be in the drivers seat.
