For clarification:

Fear based on risks around reading through websites and material with heavy bias particularly in the context of serious conflict.

It’s not prejudice against a group of people, at worst I’m avoiding undue stress.
January 25, 2026 at 12:17 PM
Usually though, the thing to do with unconscious bias, is look out for it, catch it when it happens, make it conscious, assess context, and for me it’s fine.
January 25, 2026 at 12:10 PM
“Allahu Akbar” is to me, in a sense, neutral. Like most language, context is essential.

If I hear someone say “Allahu Akbar”, I understand that it means “God is Great” (and thereabouts).

Of course I can have unconscious bias, and led by rare incidents when it’s been reported as used in terrorism.

It wasn’t a reaction. Knee jerk or otherwise.
January 25, 2026 at 12:03 PM
The reason I am extremely cautious of looking at such sites, is because of fear. The fear is around heavy bias. I have personal boundaries around going down such rabbit holes, that includes bias towards Israel, or western groups etc.

I am well aware of the arguments around the use of “intifada”.

One of the typical symptoms of war, is that a lot of people get all absolutist, over simplify things, ignore nuance, and the whole “you’re either for or against” shit comes out.
January 25, 2026 at 8:55 AM
Why are you not surprised?

One possible reason here is because your confirmation bias is so strong, that when presented with certain views, you automatically fit the person with those views into the thing you’ve constructed in your head.
January 23, 2026 at 11:31 AM
Honestly, for a moment there I thought of Gerrard Winstanley!
January 23, 2026 at 11:28 AM
Sure, Intifada means “struggle”, but then given it’s an English language site, why not just use “struggle”?

Context is everything.
January 23, 2026 at 11:26 AM
I won’t, I’m going to keep going. You can block me if you want. It’ll continue elsewhere and you will be blissfully unaware of any of it.

Did you know words like “Zero” and “Cipher” come from Arabic?
January 23, 2026 at 11:25 AM
In effect, Your Party probably was Murphy and Fitzpatrick originally, possibly with Corbyn as their target for leader. But then we had Feinstein announcing Sultana at the SWP Marxism Festival in July 2025.
January 23, 2026 at 11:24 AM
I don’t think it’s merely a case of just being involved, Murphy and Fitzpatrick *are* essentially Collective, and Corbyn, Fitzpatrick and the person who replaced Blower, *are* the PJP, and legally speaking, the PJP *were* at the top of the hierarchy of Your Party (data controller for example)
January 23, 2026 at 11:22 AM
Think I might pass on a website called “Electronic Intifada” anyway.
January 23, 2026 at 11:17 AM
I am concerned about a lot of things.

I am not focusing on a single element here, that would risk getting bogged down in factional stuff, and I’m not part of any of it.
January 23, 2026 at 11:17 AM
On Corbyn’s apparent inability to get rid of Karie Murphy:

Did you know that Murphy is one of the Directors of Collective, alongside Pamela Fitzpatrick, who is one of the Directors of the PJP alongside Corbyn?

The existence of Your Party is bound to these people.
January 23, 2026 at 11:14 AM
Do you think Murphy and Scheider are the ‘Stalinists’ around Corbyn that the likes of The Fourth International were talking about?

If so, looks like you’ve picked the last faction on my list.

I did give the options. Maybe I missed one?

Having read this piece by David Miller, I conclude at very least that it’s of a really poor standard of writing.

It looks to me like more drama triangle mongering. Of course there will be some truth in it as well, but it’s practically gloves off and waving fists at each other.

Really tedious.
January 23, 2026 at 11:09 AM
The latter, Miller considers Karie Murphy a Comrade, also Craig Murray (and his esteemed Comrade no less!).

So who is Miller? What’s his leaning and bias here?
January 23, 2026 at 11:04 AM
Wondering why Miller calls Karie Murphy, “Comrade Murphy”.

Could be passive aggressive, or maybe he’s actually on the inside of that line of politics. If it’s the latter, then I am wondering what he is, simply “socialist” isn’t enough. Probably Marxist, but what? A Trot?
January 23, 2026 at 11:01 AM
As far as information about Your Party, Corbyn, Sultana et al are concerned, I personally found enough before the media were reporting it, just from looking at Corbyn and Sultana’s public posts, companies house, privacy polices and various statements.

Leaks from others haven’t been that important.
January 23, 2026 at 10:58 AM
The author, David Miller looks quite biased in his approach to this as well.
January 23, 2026 at 10:56 AM
Yeah, I questioned the influence of Murphy in my blog about Your Party a few months ago. This is interesting information that I didn’t have at the time. Though I don’t completely trust it.

I think it’s highly likely Murphy is integral but there’s a bit of opinion dressed as fact in it.
January 23, 2026 at 10:51 AM
Thank you, that was all I looking for initially.

My issue here is with people not being direct, and being unnecessarily cloak and dagger about stuff.

Just spit it out and stop messing around. Cards on the table time.

Otherwise it’s part of the problem.
January 23, 2026 at 10:50 AM
Cue lots of roundabout painters and flag shaggers complaining about “The Yanks” coming over here and deporting ARE IMMIGRUNTS!!!
