Martin Teicher said at recent Words Matter conference - boys brains more affected by parental verbal abuse than girls in earlier years - age of vulnerability for boys is 0-7 while for girls it’s 10-15 his research has shown. 🤯 Our boys need us to know this.

If you haven't already, I highly recommend his 📙 Cut Short: Why We’re Failing Our Youth. His chapter on shame and othering in schools resonated greatly with my experience of excluded YP in APs I've worked in. We're all part of the solution to what we've seen in the last few weeks in the UK.
