Mom; QLab developer; instructor @ USC Screen Scoring. Queer, trans, disabled. After 4 years of dialysis, I am now a three-kidneyed organ hoarder!
I found a snake in the house when I was a kid, but the walls were partly under construction so it’s not too surprising it could slip in. Luckily it was a garter snake—much more harmless than the baby rattlesnake I found in the sandbox as a toddler!

Four years on dialysis and that was my reaction. It cannot be overstated how miserable it is to *actually* have your blood artificially cleaned of toxins.

I've heard professors talk about quals at any grad level as essentially hazing. They know it's useless as an assessment, but _they_ had to do it!

True but what self-respecting Good Place fan could have resisted a chance to put a stampeding angry giraffe in a scene with Ariana Grande?

Cadbury's Mini Eggs! Worth at least grabbing some to bring back; they're really so much better than what the US version is now

There were definitely some Rumis and Jinus in the neighborhood we were in, but that was out of thousands of kids—not as high a percentage as I would have expected. (But my 12yo was surprised there were still kids who weren't sick of it)
