The best advice I could give is just keep persevering with it, and try to have a little fun if possible, though it is hard work!

Giving advice for creative work is always tricky because no approach is wrong, and I don't think there is an optimal way to learn.
My style though is learning by failing, just getting my fingers in the dough and trying not to worry about squandering would-be cool melodies on bad songs.

I was always intimidated by making music and tried getting into it many times before it really stuck. I'm still learning too and am by no means an expert!

it happens! i find music inspiration is like a faucet, sometimes it turns on and a bunch of cool song rush out one after another, but then it turns off and i just make total garbage for the next month hahaha
