the Crucible ops will be a proper comparison here..
I can still see a major difference in style and approach to visual language. Destiny universe inspired me to finally get into art as an adult, so this change is something that resonates quite deeply (at least for me personally)

I would rather pay for draws on characters in Destiny Rising (never thought I'd say it), but at least there I get new pieces of story every month. Sure it's gacha.. But right now it has more Destiny feel than D2.

I bought Year of Prophecy for a full price and have been very disappointed - the Portal, the look of the event page, no seasonal story, the death of the Director and the large part of the game (old raid and dungeons). Sure, the story of EoF was nice, but it's too small compared to everything else.
