Four excellent Yoichi Aoyama albums have hit streaming. I love this guy: very catchy, bluesy, and with soulful vocals. You might've heard him on the Hosono or (Jim O'Rourke produced) Burt Bacharach tribute albums, but his solo output and albums with Grandfathers are all must-listens.

I've recommended this album to so many people, always specifically pointing out how good the double bass is. RIP

in retrospect, the world was spared that Apple Music's stupid animated covers came a few years before AI video took off, so all the record labels have already made manual animations of their important back catalog (looping zooms, snowflakes/sparkles, fancam transitions)
