Every political journey begins with a page, a paragraph, a spark.
If you’re looking for a way into Marxism without the noise or the mystique, I built a reading list meant to guide, not preach.

Where is this coordinated effort to ensure a better outcome for all?

There’s 750,000 people who don’t have adequate shelter and food in the richest country that’s ever existed.
“Capitalism forces you to wake up at 7am against your body’s natural rhythms” no that’s Taylorism and if you don’t like living in a society that coordinates effort to ensure a better outcome for all then I don’t think you’ll love the alternatives

New piece in my American Socialists series is out.

Daniel Hoan is proof that Americans don’t fear socialism, they love it when it shows up as clean streets, honest governance, and a city that actually works for the people living in it.

American Socialists: Daniel Hoan
From WWI to WWII, Hoan is the longest serving American Socialist ever elected to office.

If the ruling class didn’t fear you, they wouldn’t spend this much money convincing you to fear yourself.

Get to go with a college classmate to a Young Democrats of Michigan conference tomorrow in Lansing.

Maybe I can convince some of the college kids to join the good fight…off the record, of course.

Get to get my lib on 🤭

People say socialism is unrealistic. I say infinite growth on a finite planet is a fairy tale for adults.

Got in trouble for standing up to that Republican candidate from last week. I was told it was poor behavior as someone who represents the organization.

I DO NOT represent the college or the paper. I represent myself 100% of the time in accordance with college and organizational guidelines.

Legend
Hero of Stalingrad Igor Mykhaylov. Only 8 years old, Igor carried cartridges and water, collected and handed over German leaflets to the command, and more than once tracked down German spies. In December 1942, together with his father, he was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Stalingrad".

It is good to be a leftist. It is good to be left wing.

Please repost and get this out there.
It's Good to Be A Leftist
To be Left-Wing means you fight for the people, the oppressed. No amount of ruling class propaganda or Nazi lies will ever change that fact.

Came in the mail today. First publisher I've seen that has them in English. And they are publishing all 16 volumes.

Super exciting as these materials have been out of print for a long long time.

Yesterday, I had to cover a Republican candidate coming to the school to speak with the Republican club.

After everyone asks their questions, he looks at me and asks if I have anything to ask and then he asked my political views.

I say I’m a Socialist and he responds with a shit-eating grin
