Nope, although since purchasing I’ve read about stumping up the moolah for a Japanese model. My folks actually bought moi a Japanese Mega Drive for similar reasons in the ‘90s.
I think I’m going to stick with this set up for now and see how I go - it’s in beautiful condition.

Opening this, cleaning it and getting it all set up totes recaptured the joy I had upon unboxing my Japanese Mega Drive in the early '90s. Oof! I love Sega hardware. What's more it's in an EXCELLENT used condition, looks beautiful for its 30+ years on this earth and it works like a dream.
