Frequently confusing irreverent with irrelevant. Also ethical investment (not allowed to call it sustainable), employee ownership, running and general sports burble

Absolutely losing my mind over Ava, THE ROCK'S DAUGHTER, quitting WWE despite them offering her a raise to keep working a pretty cushy kayfabe general manager gig and then the day after her contract ends she posts this

Been watching both The War Between The Land And The Sea (1 ep to go) & Stranger Things (finished). Neither is subtle. But former feels knowingly on your face with the obvious messaging while ST feels so earnestly packaged. And the last hour of final ST episode is so ridiculously self-indulgent

Also your reminder that the Barclays board backed Staley to the hilt over his subsequent whistleblower issues, showing the whole lot of them were unfit for the role.

(Which directly informed our divestment from the stock given zero confidence in Staley or the board)
I’ve written this lengthy FT analysis overnight about the multiple multi-thousand pound Epstein payments to Mandelson’s husband

these particular paragraphs are worth reading slowly

Apparently the nearest branch has been "surprised at the uptake" and having to call in dough supplies from other branches 😂
While this might not be on scale of Hoover, wonder if Franco Manca has over egged its offer of £1 off your pizza per km run if you show a pizza slice shape on your Strava? Fair few runners I know have enjoyed free pizzas by running 10k, one's just had his & said venue has 200 bookings for tonight

Been out for an hour long run and the tennis has only moved on a set and a bit. Your irregular reminder that the airways and only desirable outcome for a Zverev game is a Zverev loss. Unfortunately, Alcaraz picked up an injury in the third set so it's looking tough for him.

Got to learn today about this charity, CatZero. Know its Chair of Trustees from her previous role & she talked me through its origins & challenges (David Cameron calling it 'yachts for yobs'). What a massive difference it makes to NEETs & their families. Love successes like this.

JWST finds nine category-defying objects. Have astronomers found their “platypus?”

The platypus, in the animal kingdom, has a collection of features that have never been seen together in any other specimen.

Here's astronomy's version.

Just like animals, galaxies often have bizarre, unusual, or even unique properties. But finding many, all at once, really does raise alarms.

NEW: Andy Burnham blocked for standing in the Denton by-election.

8-1 against.

Lucy Powell only vote in favour.
