I've been reading The Complete Robot - a collection of short stories by Asimov written between 1940 and 1977 - they are probably more relevant today than they've ever been, both from a pure robotics perspective, but also from an AI perspective. Really interesting considering when they were written.

Biggest thunderstorm I've seen in quite a while coming through right now. Almost constant lightning and thunder. Big enough storm that I'm shutting my servers and desktops down. I never do that.

BOM says "coastal fringe" for now - but who knows later? Murphy's Law would indicate that not leaving the house would be grounds for no rain and vice versa.

Family auditioning new chocolate milkshake syrups. Consensus: 1st Edlyn - fantastic balanced flavour. 2nd Monin - interesting, more subtle flavour - perhaps a bit too sweet. 3rd Cottees - very "traditional", good but not great. (distant) 4th: Hershey's. We're throwing out the bottle - enough said.

Don't forget the hype cycle. Something that's shiny and new will get a lot of initial hype before the excitement wears off for a while. Eventually people will find their groove on the new platform and work out its strengths and how to get the most out of it.
