As far as I'm concerned if you live here and you feel like you vibe with the people and acceptance of cultures that I think is core to Canadian values, you're Canadian to me. Welcome to the crew.

Sorry to hear, not the first artist I've wanted to see who has to cancel due to border issues. Still determined to catch you guys live one day, much love!

Kevin Vanord (@ fiddlecub here) has been recently trying to switch to Linux and has posted a couple threads. He was using PopOS, and other than installation issues and a few games seeing performance drops, he said it's been pretty good.

Congrats legend! Incredible run with Digital Trends, your pieces there were my favorite in the industry the last couple years. Wherever you're headed now is incredibly lucky.

Mark's lists for NextFest are always my favorite curated ones I read. Can't wait to check some of these out!

Agreed. Their double acronym plus the most generic genre description in games irks me beyond belief. Then calling it a spiritual successor instead of a sequel when it's a literal sequel, I was about to pull my hair out.

Sorry if my thoughts are scattered, writing things as I think of them. I'm a programmer who dealt with this six months ago, I get this sucks
My junk/deleted folders on Gmail had emails about accounts they accessed, I'd check those folders as well. They tried IG, Google, EA, Steam, and Ubisoft for me

Another thing to check, at least through Google you should be able to check other logged in devices. Make sure there's nothing suspicious on there. Last time I was hit, after resetting everything somebody in a different country still had account access but I was able to remove them from my computer.

If you use the same password for multiple sites, it could be that somebody took a leak from one place and tried all those username/password combinations on other sites and you got hit that way. I know that's really common and is why you aren't supposed to use the same password everywhere.

That stuff shouldn't be held in your cookies theoretically. There's cookie hijacking where they take the cookie that says "the person with this cookie should be Fudj" but in my limited experience that's rare. I don't know if Google/Instagram/Reddit has other protections for that hijacking.

In my experience Windows Defender is really good, MalwareBytes as an extra check is great. Did you run them before deleting the sketchy download or after?

Also make sure nothing comes up after a restart, that was an issue for me once where the malware would reinstall itself.
