Never quite understood the framing of MGS5 having an unusually long dev cycle - it took them 4 years to develop a completely new engine and release Ground Zeroes and another year for Phantom Pain. All while starting to develop and cancelling Metal Gear Solid: Rising in between. Pretty efficient imo

Bought the (untranslated) japanese version of the game there and it came with some kind of exclusive prequel manga, also pretty dope

I visited Japan right when Hundred Line came out and was pretty amazed by how much Merch there was for the game. It makes sense in hindsight, but seeing the (surprisingly small) video game section of the Yodobashi in Akihabara decked out in Hundred Line promo material was pretty cool
