to constantly make new games because new pokemon means more money thru merch. pokemon isn't just the games, but the anime, cards, miniatures, plushies, tkys etc. and much of the initial ibterest comes from the games. so there is no time for polish. even the gen1 games had super weird glitches+

they have to make games almost on an yearly basis, so yes, really fast. compare it to how long a mario, zelda, digimon, monster hunter hunter etc take. it is not easy to make a game AND develop a new engine etc at the same time, speacially with fundamental changes in hardware. GF isn't incompetent+

COD was always console/pc and 3D, unlike pokemon. pokemon had to jump from handheld to console and from 2.5 pixel to 2.5 less pixelated to finally full 3D and having to do it really fast since they have to make games so quickly. COD didn't have to go through so many changes

I don't blame GF, look at their new non pokemon gsme thst will come out. the issue is they are forced to ahit out new games every 1-2 years. these games aren't made in sime graphics like gameboy and DS eras, they are full 3D games. that takes longer to polish
