IANAL, but love your podcast. Shocked, shocked I say, that SCOTUS didn’t think status quo ante wasn’t a valid alternative map. That’s like arguing that the bank didn’t offer an alternative to the robber’s request for all their money.

A possible fix (which might diminish racial/political gerrymandering) is increasing numbers of congressional districts well beyond 435, so that there are many more (lower population) urban districts.

Well, he is a known liar, so there’s that. Much in the same way that Maxwell says he was always a perfect gentleman. And the Democratic hoax started years before he became a candidate the first time, and no one used it against him in any of the campaigns.
