It’s also an attack on property taxes.

I can confirm that Superior never gives up it’s dead after working at #NMU for 17 years. We lost far too many students to Gitche Gumee because they believed they could defy the power of the lake during severe storms and walk out on the upper harbor Break Wall never to be seen again. 😢🌊💨

And thanks to the Promise, my three grandchildren will not have to pay college tuition if they attend any Michigan public or private college/university.

Check out “The Kalamazoo Promise.” The donors were anonymous; however, there are only a few folks in Kzoo who have the resources to fund such a program. IMO, it’s safe to assume the Stryker family played a huge role in creating the Promise which is funded into perpetuity.

I was stunned when Judge Richard Posner wrote, “A Failure of Capitalism, The Crisis of '08 and the Descent into Depression.” It is a great book and very refreshing that a former Supply Side guy who was teaching at U of Chicago finally “got” it. There is hope!
