Some of my favorite Antonio Gates memories in honor of his hall of fame induction today:
- My first Chargers game in person vs Bills in 2005
- 7 for 118 and 2 touchdowns on Thanksgiving weekend 2009 vs KC
- Career TD’s #100 and #101 vs Steelers in 2015
- Breaking the TD record in 2017
Congrats, 🐐🫡

PFF ranked the #Chargers WR room 27th ahead of the 2025 season.

The Chargers ranked 19th in RB rushing yards before contact in 2024, despite the weaknesses of the interior OL. Perhaps is the main reason why they picked up Najee and drafted Hampton. (Graphic via Ian Hartitz on Twitter.)

Was listening to the Stock Exchange/Bootleg mock draft. The NFLSE guys took Ole Miss DT Walter Nolen, who Jim Harbaugh recruited pretty heavily back in the day before he chose to go to TAMU.

Table of every WR potentially available this offseason ranked in Yards per route run vs man coverage, vs Zone coverage, YAC/reception, and ESPN’s open score. Davante Adams makes so much sense for the Chargers.

Khalil Mack checks in as ESPN’s 7th ranked free agent. Jeremy Fowler says the Falcons and Panthers are the other teams to watch. Aka he’s back.

The more I think about this free agency cycle for the Chargers, the more I think they should be aggressive at CB. Would love to see them target Carlton Davis

Since he returned from injury 3 weeks ago, Derius Davis has been averaging 44 yards per kick return and 16.6 per punt return. He’s had a big return each week: a 56 yard kickoff return, a 53 yard punt return, and a 25 yard punt return. He’s due for 6 this week imo 👀⚡️ #BoltUp

This shot from the Chargers’ production team of Justin Herbert’s touchdown pass to Will Dissly is just pure cinema

Pretty decent company for Ladd McConkey in this separation graphic, courtesy of “throwthedamnball” on Twitter. 👀

Pre-MNF the Chargers offense ranks 16th in EPA/play and 16th in success rate for week 11.
They are 15th and 28th on the regular season. Still need to string together some more consistent showings but certainly an improving unit.

Had a lot of questions regarding how the Chargers 2023 class would adjust to the new regime, outside of Tuli Tuipulotu. Thankfully, it now seems like a really good group due to the developments of Quentin Johnston, Daiyan Henley, and Scott Matlock. Prime example of why coaching matters so much.
