I hate hate hate that our media is so compromised that they call this abomination "federal cost cutters". They didn't cut any costs. They destroyed capabilities of the federal government that provided oversight and disaster relief and didn't save taxpayers a dime.

It will happen again if you let them off easy like that. You can't just take a few seconds to deal with a problem of this scope. You have to put in the work and be in it for the long haul.

Try my tactic. I get far less calls than I did a few years ago. Answer the calls but remain completely silent until they hang up (usually in about 30 seconds). Don't give them anything at all. Let them believe your line is dead.
