Yeah they usually ask for a name and phone number to make sure you’re in the actual district (yes they will text you, I’ve got a ton of MAGA slop in my texts because of doing stuff like this)

I know how hopeless it feels, but that’s exactly what they want you to feel like so you don’t get in their way. Instead of giving up, use your constitutional right to tell your representatives how you feel about these, and that you won’t support them if they say yes to these (politely ideally)
