This is me procrastinating building my own md parser instead of publishing my blog post btw 😅
that's 23mil lines of markdown per second lol

(not sure if this is fast or slow but the parser is not complete yet so not really fair to compare to others anyway)

I really want to write my own variant of markdown that is not so dumb to parse well

I'd one day like to be able to say this
Brother I know your language you work in like the back of my fucking hand I could outcode you in any programming task in OCaml blindfolded mate

i love c but man a result type like in rust or zig error unions would be so much nicer than this

okay I quit this shit is too much

I'm converting this shit to json and then reading it that way

FUCK YAML
I take back what I said about XML

yaml is soo much worse in every single way. I hand rolled an XML parser in a few hours

it's been 2 days and I barely can parse a basic yaml file
October 21, 2025 at 11:36 PM
that is sooo much better already
October 19, 2025 at 4:22 PM

Any of my oomfs use @tangled.org as their primary git host? (Self hosted I mean)
I would love to know what your thoughts are. I want to move all my business repos to it if it's good GitHub has become super super bad to use these days

Fucking fraudsters took 500 usd from my sister pretending to be from Deloitte and that getting a job needs paying money

Stay safe chat don't pay money to get a job not worth it even if it is real

I have ported multiple pretty complex c/cpp build setups to build zig and mann it's soo nice to be able to read and actually understand how build works by reading real code instead of some random disaster of a dsl

Premake and xmake are also cool but I like zig more
October 8, 2025 at 5:37 PM
closures (okay well not really capturing but still v cool) in zig lfg

i need some tree sitter and lsp hacking but this is soo nice already lol

Really cool video. So many things about big redactors, product design, obsessing over little things, not breaking existing user workflows while still being easy to use for new users and so much more

lol when you don't know what you're doing and you don't have any examples to go off of cuz people been doing this the shitty way forever
September 28, 2025 at 3:44 PM

September 28, 2025 at 10:32 AM
I keep hearing this from super smart junior people thinking they can't get a job or whatever

bro I'm half blind I can't see shit! if I can do it you should atleast have a better chance than me

just keep stumbling into dumb errors and half finished side projects you'll get there. NEVER lose hope!
